How do you make a movie? The Earth Science Story in the rock movie was recorded with Windows Movie Maker, a standard program on the Start menu. Audio track blended with Audacity which can be downloaded from the internet. It is important to not pirate copyrighted material---"creative commons" means you are allowed to use media, as long as you give credit as specified to the person who created the media. Source for video/pictures was Flickr.com (advanced search check "creative commons" and content that you're "allowed to modify/adapt"). Music was from ccMixter; sound effects were from FreeSounds Project.

Who is Mrs. Litman? Mrs. Litman grew up in New York but has lived in New Jersey since 1984. She has two brothers and two sisters and is the oldest girl in her family. Her daughter enjoys art and lives in Chicago. Her son likes to run and is a college senior studying physics.

When she was in middle school she won an award for "Best in Art". When she was in high school, she was on the varsity gymnastics, swimming, and diving teams Her best subjects in high school were mathematics, science, gym, and secretarial skills. After graduating from University of Maine (BS), she worked in New York City for over ten years as a Vice President for major banks. On weekends, she sailed on a small boat which won international sailing championships.

Mrs. Litman then returned to school and got her Master of Arts degree from New Jersey City University (MA). She is licensed to teach K-8 mathematics and science. As a teacher, Mrs. Litman believes that each person's efforts make a difference and that every student can succeed!
